Supervisor Patient Access
Leadership Opportunity!!!!
Responsible for directing the daily operations of Emergency Department Patient Access staff, the supervisor also assists with oversight of the team members at other registration entry points within the assigned facility. This role ensures Patient Access processesincluding pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, and point-of-service collectionsare performed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with all applicable regulatory and payer requirements.
The supervisor works closely with physicians, clinicians, and campus leaders to ensure every patient encounter is managed with compassion, accuracy, and efficiency while supporting safe patient identification and the organization's revenue cycle objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily Patient Access operations, including pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, and point-of-service collections.
- Ensure compliance with EMTALA, Medicare, Medicaid, payer requirements, debt collection laws, Red Rules, and patient identification standards.
- Oversee the identification and referral of patients for financial assistance programs, including Medicaid, Medicare, Disability, and financial counseling services.
- Coach, mentor, train, and develop Patient Access team members while monitoring performance, productivity, and quality outcomes.
- Develop and maintain staffing schedules to ensure continuous 24/7 departmental coverage.
- Foster a compassionate, patient-centered culture that balances an exceptional patient experience with revenue cycle performance.
- Monitor internal controls related to accounts receivable and cash receipt functions.
- Manage departmental budgets and support organizational financial goals.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, customer service, integrity, and Lee Health's values.
