floridaHired is a job board for Florida, and only Florida. Every listing on it is read from an employer’s own careers page, and every apply button leads back to that page.
Who runs it
The site is built and run by Pinova, LLC, a small Florida company. It is not owned by a staffing agency, a recruiter or any of the employers listed, and no employer pays to appear. There is no sales team, and there is nothing to buy.
Where the listings come from
We read job postings directly from the careers sites employers run themselves — the same pages you would reach by going to the employer’s website and clicking “Careers”. Each employer is read regularly, and each reading records every open posting: its title, location, pay when the employer prints one, job type, schedule, and the description as the employer wrote it.
That is the whole source. There are no submitted listings, no feeds bought from aggregators, no postings copied from other job boards, and no positions placed by staffing agencies on an employer’s behalf. If a posting is on floridaHired, the employer published it on their own site.
What leaves the board
When an employer takes a posting down, the next successful reading of that employer notices it is gone and the posting is closed here. A closed posting is not deleted — if you had saved it, your saved list says it closed rather than silently losing it — but it no longer appears on the board, in search or on any employer, region or city page.
A reading can fail: an employer’s site can be down, slow or changed. When it does, nothing is closed on the strength of a failed read, so a posting is never marked closed because our side had trouble. The trade is that a posting can linger a little after an employer removes it. We would rather that than the reverse.
What the figures mean
A pay figure on a card is the figure the employer printed on the posting, in the unit they used. We do not estimate pay, fill in a range from other postings, or read a figure from anywhere but the posting itself — a card that says “Pay not listed” means the employer did not print one. Florida has no pay-transparency law, so many do not. The employer pages and region pages summarise what the postings that do publish pay actually say.
A posting date is likewise the employer’s own. Where a careers site publishes none, the card omits the line rather than invent one.
Regions and cities
Every posting is placed in one of twelve Florida regions from the city on the posting, using a fixed table of Florida cities by county. A posting whose city we cannot place, or which the employer marks remote, goes to the statewide and remote bucket rather than being guessed into a region.
Accounts and saved jobs
Saving a job needs no account: the heart on a card keeps the job in your own browser. Signing in with Google is optional and does one thing — it makes your saved jobs follow you between devices. We ask Google only for your name and email address, never post anything, and never share an account with any employer or anyone else. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is stored and how to have it deleted.
Advertising
The site is free to use and carries no advertising. No employer buys placement, and nothing you save or search is handed to an advertiser.
Something wrong?
If a listing is misread, a figure is wrong, or you are an employer who wants your postings removed or added, write to us. A correction to how we read a site takes effect on the next reading of it.
