Summary

Salary Range: $263,140.80 - $498,314.96
Please note that base salary is determined on years of professional experience post completion of fellowship.

Vice Chair, Women's Health Pathology is a leadership role focused on breast, gynecologic, and other women's cancer pathology programs, with responsibilities for strategic growth, recruitment, faculty development, multidisciplinary integration, clinical quality, education, and programmatic expansion across the cancer center.

Certified by the American Board of Pathology for anatomic or clinical pathology and deals with the study of disease and disease process by means of macroscopic, microscopic, immunologic and molecular examination of organs and tissue. Practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center. Serves as member of the academic medical enterprise, advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. The position may span the clinical and research enterprise, and supports patient care, research, and education. Other applicable duties as assigned by appropriate Leadership.

Responsibilities

The Vice Chair for Women's Health Pathology will provide strategic, operational, and academic leadership for pathology services supporting women's cancers and related disease programs. The Vice Chair partners with departmental, institutional, and multidisciplinary leaders to advance clinical excellence, research, education, faculty development, and recruitment efforts focused on breast, gynecologic, and other women's health pathology programs.

Candidates will primarily participate in breast subspecialty sign out, interact with physicians, medical students, residents, and fellows, and participate in Pathology Tumor Boards.  In addition to a division specific focus, the position may, depending on candidate’s experience include some responsibilities in other subspecialties, cytopathology and/or frozen sections. The successful candidate will have opportunities to join established basic research programs, with excellent opportunities for translational research in areas of interest. Opportunities are available for personal direct expert consult case compensation.   

Requirements

Successful applicants must be board certified in Anatomic Pathology. Possess active FL MD Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Florida is required. Completed Fellowship training in Breast Pathology required.   

The successful candidate will be an accomplished physician with a record of excellence in clinical care, research, and education within an academic medical center. Candidates should have experience in high-volume, multidisciplinary university-based practice settings and a demonstrated commitment to advancing clinical programs, education, and scholarship. National or international recognition in a pathology subspecialty and prior physician leadership experience are highly desirable.

Salary Range: $263,140.80 - $498,314.96

Salary Range

$110,000.00 - $1,200,000.00

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
