Lab Technician-Produce Snacks - Orlando
Responsibilities include:
- performing operational and pre-operational inspections on products and equipment
- ensuring that each product is manufactured according to FDA and Department of Agriculture regulations including, but not limited to traceability records, temperature monitoring and HACCP records
- following all food safety requirements
- collecting, processing, evaluating, packaging, maintaining, and retaining samples for testing
- being familiar with all Produce Snacks products and equipment
- accurately completing documentation
- processing and recording customer complaints
- communicating food safety concerns with leadership
- entering production data and lab results
- conducting label verification
- verifying titration levels
- conducting environmental swabbing daily
- verifying the receiving and shipping of raw materials and finished products and
- other duties as assigned.Responsibilities include:

Required Qualifications
- must be at least 18 years old
- must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- must have excellent attendance and punctuality
- must have working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Access and Excel
- must demonstrate safe working habits
- must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
- must possess basic math skills
- must have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player)
- must be willing to assist other team members in other areas
- must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- must be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time
- must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision
- must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- must be able to communicate effectively
- must be able to work with regulatory inspectors and other compliance officials
- must be able to work under pressure, be dependable and possess good follow-up skills
- must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in science or related field and
- lab experience.
Hours of Work
Monday through Friday: Start Time: 6:00am - 8:00am; End Time: 2:30 pm - 4:30pm
Work Environment
Temperatures range from 60 to 75 degrees.
