Florida Gulf Coast University

Florida Gulf Coast University is a public university in the State University System, on a campus between Fort Myers and Estero. It opened in 1997 and serves the five-county Southwest Florida region.

Its board carries faculty positions across its colleges, adjunct and visiting appointments, and the staff work of a residential campus: advising, admissions, facilities, athletics, IT and student services. Faculty postings are often open-rank and describe the department’s needs at length.
