Manufacturing Trainer - Fresh Kitchen - Deerfield

The purpose of this position is to coordinate and facilitate operational and technical courses for manufacturing associates to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform their daily responsibilities. This includes organizing and facilitating training courses and sessions, maintaining training materials that support on-the-job learning such as reference materials, job aids, and electronic files, coordinating and scheduling associates for training, and maintaining skill sets in both industry knowledge and training techniques.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and delivering position-specific training to manufacturing associates, using content created by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), ETD, and leadership.

• Providing on-the-job training or hands-on skills training using equipment or other job specific training aids

• Maintaining training materials and ensuring they are up-to-date and meet industry standards.

• Coordinating the training room facilities and material inventories

• Requesting appropriate student materials for upcoming training sessions

• Reserving, setting up, and tearing down training rooms
• Maintaining skill set in both industry knowledge and teaching techniques.

Required Qualifications

• high school diploma or equivalent experience
• one year of training related experience
• working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
• knowledge of training practices and methodologies
• excellent planning, organizational, and follow-through skills
• human relations skills (ability to work well with others and to be a team member)
• ability to work independently with little supervision
• excellent interpersonal skills
• willingness to work nights and weekends to meet the manufacturing business needs
• must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in an educational related field or equivalent experience
• three years of experience training adults
• Lean, Six Sigma or related certification
• Knowledge of general manufacturing procedures and programs
• Knowledge of food safety and associate safety initiatives

Hours of Work

7:00pm - 5:30am; rotating days

Other Compensation Information

Weekend Differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday

Night differential: A $.75 per hour night differential is paid to associates regularly scheduled to work any hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m. (this does not include shifts that end at midnight or begin at 3:00 a.m.).
